Construction
Softlon and Lightlon have been widely used in building and construction applications for more than 20 years. The soft, closed-cell Softlon foams show excellent recovery from compression, thus providing effective sealing. Long maintenance life is assured by the weather resistance, ozone and UV resistance of Softlon.

The main function of Softlon and Lightlon foams in this industry segment are

• Impact / vibration dampening

• Dynamic pressure absorption (expansion)

• Thermal insulation


Alone or in combination with mastic-type sealants, Softlon and Lightlon Rod have a wide range of building uses.

Applications include road and bridge construction, joint material, eaves fillers, floor underlays, concrete filler strips, sealing strips, metal roof and cladding insulation.
