Sekisui Pilon offers a wide range of CFC- and HCFC-free specialised foams to cater for the increasing trend toward lightweight, cost-effective and evironmentally-friendly materials that support the "all polyolefin" concept, where all materials in a laminate (foam, fabric, supporting material) belong to the same polymer family and are therefore easier to recycle.

Foam properties include light-weight, chemical inertness, low water absorption, high temperature stability.

Additional features are the ease of fabrication, including thermoforming (both vacuum-forming and compression-forming).

Many interior trim components call for a soft feel combined with resilience. When combined with a cover stock material, Softlon foams are ideal in trim applications such as door panel, headliners, pillar coverings, dashboards, sun visors, carpet backing and boot locker lining.
